Matador Red Is250 se-l

Morning all, been a member for a good few years but cannot remember if I ever set up a ‘build thread’

originally had an is200 that I then traded in against this 250 back in 2014 ish

the car is a 2006 matador Red se-l

once I’d bought the car I was on the hunt for some isf wheels, and dropped on H&R springs to take away some of that arch gap.

I’ve then since swapped for air suspension from airmext, accuair management and hidden tanks in the spare wheel well.
spaced the rear ISF wheels 20mm.

bodywork wise I’ve smoothed the front bumper to remove the holes from the number plate holder, added GFX lips front and rear. Rear boot lip, roof spoiler, genuine 2011 headlights retrofitted with working DRL, ISF rear lights and Lexus Japan HID fog lights with DRL. Honda S2000 AP1 exhaust tips fill the holes in the gfx lip, coupled up with an invidia midpipe for a little more grumble.

Few more recent pics, whilst I continue to use and enjoy the car I may also be in a position and in the market for an ISF. So until the right one pops up I’ll be keeping the 250

Thanks very much.

the suspension is completely adjustable in terms of height and damping.

from inside the car you have full control of ride height and it will rise on start to a preset drive height.

Id say once set up its almost as comfortable as standard and certainly matches the H&R springs I had in there before.

Thanks Neil, ultimately it depends if the right car pops up for sale to replace the 250. But while I’m in possession of this I shall continue to enjoy it and add a few more mods.

wheels could well be on the list along with sorting out the DRL’s to illuminate upon approach and unlocking as the puddle lights do.

Well I think you have made some good choices and done a great job. So what's the next step in terms of car ownership, an ISF perhaps or something a bit different?

Thanks Neil, next step in car ownership, well an ISF has always been a dream and something I’ve been working towards so if the right one popped up I’d definitely be swayed.

Ive a thing for USB and white leather, but it’s not a necessity, if a late well looked after example came on the market I’d certainly have a good look at it.

The blue would be my first choice. I looked at a few ISFs but never found a good one at a sensible price. They are awesome bits of kit and as a former Soarer fan, I'm drawn to the NA V8 power and rarity/cult status of them.
