Timing Belt Confusion

Hi,

Lexus in Ireland have told me that the timing belt should be changed at 60,000 miles (I'm due this service shortly) for 650 euro. However, the manual says 100,000 miles and the garage said that this should be 100,000 KM which equated to roughly 60,000 miles!

Is this rubbish or do I need to change the belt at this service?

I have thought about this myself... Alot of people on here have said that it is 100,000 miles, and i definatley not disagreeing with anyone.

But the Altezza`s have stickers under the bonnet saying 100,000 KM...

I have always changed them before 60000miles, just to be on the safe side.... sure someone will be along shortly to us the correct answer...

the altezza isnt the is200, plus the std measurment inthe altezza is the KM in the is200 its the mile
