Cracked side window replacement advice

Recommended Posts

After the cold months, when I attempted to wind down my off-side, rear passenger window, it stuck for a moment, then went, but cracked the window.

Can anyone advise on what I need to replace it, - as I looking to buy one from a salvage dealer.  Is it simply the window, or do I need to purchase much more?

Many thanks

Looks good to me 😀

What does windscreen insurance cover me for?

‘Windscreen’ cover includes all windows and not just the one most people refer to as ‘the windscreen’ (i.e. the big one at the front!), often including sun-roofs.

It means you can recoup the cost of having to replace the glass, or simply repair what’s damaged and return it to its original state.

Whether a full replacement is needed or a repair to a chip or crack will suffice depends on how much damage there is.

Thanks.

I do have an excess of £75, which is cheaper than the accident accident access of £250.  I guess £75 will be less than cost of a second hand window and labour... so may as well go for it...
