A guy i spoke to had a new Hybrid Volvo delivered. He and his wife did not feel comfortable with the car. He asked the dealer how much they would buy it back for. He claims, I believe him, they offered him £1500 more than he paid (?)

I looked for a reply emoji to your post that would say WOW! Couldn't find it so I will just say WOW! again.

I was at my local Lexus dealer last week. The forecourt and rear car park that usually holds the stock was not quite empty but very sparse. They're actually selling German cars such is the desperation, however when I spoke with the main sales guy he said WBAC are hoovering everything up and they simply cannot compete with their trade in prices, hence lack of used Lexus stock.

I had to chuckle as three years back they basically refused my 15 plate IS as a part ex and told me to take it to WBAC !!...what goes around comes around as they say :wink3:

My 2005 RX300 is now worth at least £500-£1000 more than I paid for it. The first time I've had a car appreciate in value while I've owned it.

I've had plenty that appreciated after I sold them however. I call it "The Clarkson Effect"
