Lexus RX400h AFS Sensor issue

Hi all,

Just purchased a 2008 RX400h SE-L with 58K miles. The AFS light keeps flashing when the car is in ignition. I've read a few forum here and checked the linkage next to the rear drive side wheel and that's still intact. I also read that the lights usually do a swivel check upon starting but mine don't and when the headlights are on they are quite low.

It could be the height adjusting sensor.

Any advice?

Any garages in London area who can assist.

Called a few and they're charging nearly £100 for diagnostics!

Hi Haz

You should do a physical check and see if the arm has ceased. What happened my 2008 car is that the axle of the unit was physically broken but on a visual inspection it appeared fine.

The fact that the lights don’t move when you turn on the car indicates to me that it’s the sensor unit at rear is the issue.
