Which petrol?

Whilst I have the 500h I simply fill it with standard 95 octane unleaded. However, just a day or two ago I noticed on the fuel filler flap it specifically indicated either "E5" or "E10" can be used. Must admit, I always thought that would be the case. It may be worth seeing if your fuel flap says the same or reference what is recommended in the user manual. My aforementioned manual refers to "E10" and I would guess so will yours, albeit I suspect it may stipulate the higher octane rating.

I only ever use Shell V Power, unless necessary ,in all our cars.Even in my 44 year old MG Midget which also needs an unleaded additive. This will be essential now as the E10 stuff eats away older car internals.

V Power all the way. I reckon it improves fuel economy in the Lexus V8s by 5% and costs only 6% more, so I tell myself it is virtually free extra power and free cleaning.

Of course this could all be the placebo effect

Nail, head.

Super-duper, all singing, all dancing petrol for an engine that is tuned to use it is great. However, put it in a standard engine and it's all psychological snake oil.

I use Shell V power, no particular reason, i know its more expensive but then i only fill my car up 8 times a year

We fill the CT 2 or 3 times a month, but then it has a little tank.

Also use the V-power from Shell. It smells like gasoline did when we were younger.
