red warning light IS 200

Recommended Posts

Hy I just bought a used IS 200 in Germany. I dont like the red flashing warning light when the seatbelt is not fasten driver an passenger side. Is there a easy way to disconnect then? ( I did the same in my Mazda Miata by just plug out one cable under the steering wheel)

Thank you

If you look closely at where you plug the seat belt into then you will see a couple of wires feeding in, i havent tried it but i would have thought that cutting the wires & joining them together turns off the light.

So I just cut of the black tape of under where you plug in the seat belt. Under there are 2 small wires. Just cut one in the middle (so that you can connect them later) and the lights close.
