Quite a few years ago I got my then Inifiniti 30GXd from Manchester to Le Mans on a single tank, over 600 miles.

I think more and more we are heading to electric cars.

So filled up last week and reset the mileage counter and I was getting around 51MPG mixture of motorway and town driving which is fine considering I had a IS220d! So with fuel and electric combined I got 415 miles in total based on my counter and I will take that any day.

Wait------------ 18 Gallons 🤣😂

Once when the MB300SEL 6.3 was running out of gas I think it needed more than 100L to fill it.

Never cared about the range of it; had a company credit-card to fill it up and did that when needed.

Being retired it is a different matter.

I have had V12 Etype, Daimler V12 Double Six, V8 Mercs etc etc all thirsty animals but the price we pay for the experience.

Sadly an adventure future motorists will never undertake.
