LS400 Alarm

Hi I’ve just developed a problem (at 1.30am) with my LS400’s alarm. It went off for no obvious reason and I couldn’t turn it off with either of my two fobs, it only stopped when I got in and started the engine. I disconnected the Battery at this point. Anyone know anything about the alarm ? Where should I start looking or should I take it to a garage ?

Hi Keith, I would start with ensuring all the doors, boot, sunroof and bonnet are fully closed.

Are the key fob batteries and the car Battery good? When were they last replaced?

Have you reconnected the Battery since and has it reset correctly?

As per Steve's question: My alarm went off when my main 12v Battery started to fail years ago.  Are you able to test the Battery and charging system?

Hopefully after 6 months it’s been sorted, a report back would have been nice just in case another member was suffering the same problem but hey ho.

I always try and post follow ups for the very same reason... Although in this instance I didn't check the date of this thread, oops 🙂
