With 18"s right?

Bison seems to think the IS will look like 'a boat on wheels' with 18s and no lowering?

well if you want to avoid lowering, it will look better on 19"s

however to get the perfect look on 19 you need to lower approx 25 mm, which is what the later spec is200 sports are lowered by as std

the price of wheels and tyres for 19, you could by 18 with tyres and lowering springs......

Horses for Courses really, its false thought if you think u wouldnt be lowering it

Raz,

Lowering it will lower the centre of gravity............improve handling etc.......

I've had loads of fun with mine with the TEIN kit/anti roll bars/Japsai chassis braces etc

Cornering speeds increase dramatically..............so more fun

for what its worth stick with std alloys soend the dosh on some/all of the above & enjoy !

Thanx matt some helpful advice,

I'm only looking at keeping the 18/19"s on for the good weather (as they will be chromed). Gonna for the 18"s tyres are well out of my budget for 19"s

Right looks like lowering will be my best option then, best get reading all the suspension threads then

Looks like this year, I will have to settle for getting my 17"s painted a smoked chrome colour :whistling:

If you go for the EDFC option with TEIN you can adjust it while driving :whistling:

the softest setting is a bit firmer than the Eibachs & STD shocks..........middle setting is firm...............bottom is jiggly & like a mini on pre hydro-elastic suspension........BUT.........turn in is is sharp no roll at all good for solo blasts !

If it's any help ...

I've got some later 'sports' suspension sitting unused in my shed.

Set of 4 springs + 4 shocks, already assembled to drop straight on.

From a 2002 IS200 Sport and have covered about 25k miles in total.

Worthwhile upgrade for IS200 S,SE or pre 2002 model year Sport.

Open to sensible offers if anyone's interested - just PM me ...

Also have a set of 4 standard SE springs and set of 4 IS200 shocks.

From 2001 IS200 SE and covered 10k miles before changing for above.

Set of standard IS200 anti-roll bars.

IS200 rear section exhaust - has a chrome trim... bit grubby that...

If anyone has a use for this stuff, gimme a shout.

Sorry, bit :offtopic: perhaps
