Door locks on drivers side

Hi all my first post👏. When walking up to car it unlocks partially and then locks again, hazards lights flashing at the same time. Any ideas?

Does it happen with both keyfobs?

Hi Beamish, only 1 fob has ever worked since I purchased the car. Battery was replaced a couple of months ago after dash warning of low Battery.

Hello Pat and welcome to the forum!

The car does not unlock by itself, unless you grab one of the door handles whilst the key fob is in your pocket. If the car appears to unlock by itself, it is most probably because the key is in your pocket and the unlock button is inadvertently being pressed.

If the car is unlocked, but neither of doors is opened within 30 seconds (I think it's 30 seconds), the car will lock again as a safety precaution.

If by 'partially' you mean that only the driver's door is unlocked, a second press of the keyfob will unlock the other doors. This is a safety measure that you can change yourself in the customisation menu.

Replaced the fob Battery again and all is back to normal in Lexus NX heaven🤔
