Train Wreck - NO POWER gs450h

Hi guys,

Ironically, was running a health check on my new paperweight, while multi tasking... longstory short, door left open, car in acc mode, and on return...no power with only a dime check engine light that eventually faded. No power to anything even steering lock.  Have tried jumping from Battery in boot.

I have searched here and correct me if I'm wrong, I may need this flat bed towed to Toyota for HV recharge.

ANY advice much appreciated

Great timing.  Lucky I've been given a car to work in during xmas....  :/

It would be extremely unlikely that the high voltage Battery has gone flat. The system is designed to shut door lights, radio and other things down before that happens.

I seem to remember that these cars have two 12V batteries? If so, make sure you're connecting the jump leads to the correct one.

Hmm, maybe 2 points to connect jump cables to(12v Battery in boot or point in with fuses under bonnet) but I will look into further.  Thanks you!

To my dismay, no dash light appeared or anything looked like it was receiving any power after attaching cables to Battery... i will start pulling fuses as well.

Why would it have two 12v batteries ?

Maybe it doesn't, but I know that at least one model of Lexus has two - the standard one and one specifically for the active suspension if I remember correctly.

You sir are correct...I sir, am retarded...but I'm a happy retard that will read the manual from page 0.

On the other hand, if everyone did that then this Forum wouldn’t be half as entertaining!  😊

Kev if you are really bored try chewing your way through the satnav manual. A bizarre piece of work that would not look out of place in the Metropolitan.
