Recommended Posts

Hi People,

First thing first Merry Xmas to you all.

Secondly, i have got a new phone(Samsung S21 Ultra).

I have connected everything to my car RX450H F sport but the car does not recognise this when i have message recieved.

All boxes are ticked in the car software, but its a no go.

I presume its my phone which is the problem.

Many Thanks

Alan

Alan,

Merry Christmas.

All i can immediately suggest is to check/change and try different Bluetooth MAP profile version numbers on Android and see if one of them works with the RX.

You will need to go onto developer options on the phone to change this.  Do you need help to be do that?

Also make sure you have the latest software installed on the vehicle.

Cheers,

Paul

My 4RX does this and so did my previous GSF. Occasionally I will get a text displayed, but most of the time nothing. Two different phones used. My conclusion is that the Lexus feature doesn't work properly. I am not that bothered as most of the texts I get are somebody trying to scam me or sell me something.

Yep, my IS300h and GS F intermittently worked but mainly didn't without changing anything.

Seemed to work better on my wife's Prius (although not 100%), and now her UX seems to behave but I haven't driven it much to know how reliable it is - but I now put it in CarPlay anyway so don't have to rely on Toyota/Lexus' poor system.
