Passenger Door Rattling

Hi all,

So far, I think I have managed to avoid most of the tropes that plague the early models of the 2IS (other than the dash speaker cracking every so often, I don't really mind it though.)

One thing I have noticed is that there is an intermittent rattling noise coming from the passenger door. Unsure of whether it is in the door itself or maybe in that corner of the dash? Anyone experienced anything similar?

Sometimes had an annoying rattle from the passenger door area that obviously, only happened when driving. After a while, came to realise that after my wife had been a passenger, she didn't make sure that the seat belt buckle had returned to its proper resting position i.e. laying flat and not twisted which if it was twisted would rattle against the door pillar.

A simple bit of wife education restored the usual comparative silence!

It's funny you should mention that as I recently had my mum in the car and she left the belt in a similar way! 

I did do due diligence though and have checked all the trims around the door, nothing in the door pocket.

Sounds like it's coming from inside the door card. Will probably just have to bite the bullet and take the doorcard off.

My daughter is the main passenger and she always leaves her cr**p in the door pockets, i keep of stuffing it with an old rag to keep rattles at bay, seems to work.

With the state of the roads around here there is really no point of worrying about this, I literally did not see a smooth local road in years, it's all pot holes, creases from digging and tram lines from hgv's .
