I'm thinking of purchasing an IS 250C. I have previously owned a VW Eos on which the roof seals needed to be lubricated once or twice a year to keep them supple & prevent water leaks. The special lubricant was manufactured by Krytox. Do the roof seals on the IS 250C require similar lubrication & if so, what type?

Thanks in advance.

I have used Gummi Pflege on mine for the last two years and have not had any issues.

Previously I owned a Mercedes R230 SL which needed annual treatment with a "special" very expensive Mercedes supplied lubricant, similar to Krytox, but I am not aware of any particular lube either supplied or recommended by Lexus.

Water leaks are not a known issue with the ISC.

Hi I also use Gummy Pflege ,have used it for7 years with no issues ,use it on door and boot seals as well keeps all rubber seals supple ,a little goes a long way ,also not had any water leak problems with the roof with no special maintenance . I also have a MX5 now that is a different story still use the Gummy Pflege but the roof drains have to be cleaned out with a trombone brush regularly or you end up in a gold fish bowl .
