Manual Shifting

I have used the paddles. Be aware that they operate in different ways in different drive modes. In "Normal" mode they act as a highest gear lock (i.e. the car changes up through the gears in auto but will stop at the selected gear ratio. In the sport modes the paddles actually change gear to order except if this would put the engine outside programmed parameters.

Now, in reality, I never use the paddles as the auto box is so very good at reacting to your right foot. I think the paddles are only likely to be of use on a track day. Is the LC500 a track car? I don't think so.

Maybe I am getting old. 🙂
