Service package help

Hi all,

I'm sure this has been asked a million times over but just wanted some opinions.

I am purchasing an nx300h. It was registered in September 2018.

They are offering the service packaging of interim/ major/ interim for £1045. She said it may be worthwhile adding the next big service on for £600 odd with the spark plugs.  ( i am going to be a low mileage user so probably won't have hit this by then).I had asked about the essentials package and got the short answer back that the car is not over 5 years old.

If i took out the interest free on the full whack it would be £39 a month.

However after the first interim it will then be over 5 years. I can't see the pricing for the essentials servicing but does it seem like I'm better off waiting for this to come into effect?

Had even thought about going to another garage for cheaper costs but will probably want to keep the warranties in place which I think they still do with essentials?

Just wondering what peoples opinions are on whether it's worth it to sign up to the service plan? Does anyone have any idea how much prices tend to rise year after year?

Thanks in advance!

So the dealer said you can't have the essential service plan because your car isn't over 5 years old? Weird because Lexus withdrew the essential plan yet a couple on here have asked and got replied that's it's still on. Very strange. Anyway £39 a month for how long? Isn't a bad price.

Hi K other people will tell you more BUT I am under the impression that spark plug change is mileage based so changed at 60,000 miles . I hope this helps

This is correct. Don't let the dealer bully you into thinking you need your plugs changed on the 6th service. It is only when the vehicle has done 60k miles.

difference is between the essentials/ non- essentials services?

whatever it might be I'm not at all sure that the calipers are included ............  simple preventative servicing / maintenance too

Same car as you Kjacks89 and I took out similar plan including a major. Just figured I might save a few quid if servicing costs skyrocket as my prices are fixed in advance. Plus, the extended warranty is a great attraction to me.
