Oil and filter change.

Only done 800 miles in the last year down to covid restrictions, oil on dip stick looks as good as the day I replaced the fully synthetic oil and filter a year ago.  Any thoughts on whether it is advisable to continue to run on this oil and/or filter for another 6 months or change it now.

It will certainly be good for 6 more (IMO) but as long as it does not impact on any warranty you may still have ?

It would be hard to imagine there would be anything wrong with oil after 800 miles, even if it is 1 year old. Technically oil expires even if you not driving the car because additives loses their effect, but in just 800 miles, again I can't imagine it would require immediate replacement. I would not advise for keeping it forever wither, but perhaps replace it ~6000 miles or 1.5 years. Definitely don't keep it past 2 years old.

Several manufacturers have 2-year service intervals now, so will be perfectly fine I am sure.
