Display screen glass

Unfortunately mine has acquired a crack in the glass (don't ask but it was nothing to do with me!) does anyone know if this can be repaired or replaced without replacing the display unit itself? I am referring to the central display with the nav information etc. on it. All pointers gratefully received!

According to the parts diagrams only the complete navigation display unit is available (12.3” screen) and there is no indicated price.

The only cost effective option is to find a secondhand unit but the larger screen was only fitted to very late models making finding one difficult.

Hi Steve mine is an early model and with the smaller screen, not sure if that would make a difference? Where are you seeing the parts diagram, I assume this is in the paid area of Tech Docs?

I do think this will become a regular problem with cars that seem to have a large tablet bolted to the dashboard in a very prominent position. Whenever my son gets in the car his mobile usually comes flying out of his pocket like a missile with a great crash.
