When to change spark plugs

Recommended Posts

Someone else will suggest better. But the amount that can seep through rocket cover gasket will be very little. And it will get burned off as it makes its way via spark plugs.

My 2009 is consuming oil and I only wish it be the rocker cover but doubt I will get off the hook that easily.

I won't bother changing anything if there is no visible oil consumption.

Has anyone who has changed plugs at 60K miles as recommended by Lexus actually noticed any significant immediate improvements in performance and upon ignition?

Well I have seen an improvement in performance but not sure about economy just yet.

Need to see if these left and right cover gaskets are worth replacing. On 3 plugs they were covered in oil. So mechanic suggested the seals are on their way out but could not see any oil leaks anywhere nor any oil consumption over 1.5 years.

Labour is £250 then to get the seals probably up to £50.
