Flashing AFS light

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

My wife got a flashing AFS light on her RX400 the other day and a quick look under the rear revealed a snapped linkage. I ordered a replacement, measured it to be the same as the old one and fitted it but the light continues to flash. I checked the sensor per this thread:

And it is reading correctly, between 0.4 and 4 Ohms as the sensor moves

Is there some kind of initialisation to perform on the sensor in case it has slightly moved? Does anyone know the default value in Ohms for the sensor in the resting position?

Thanks

James

Thanks Herbie, I found those last night and will work through them. Due to it being fully functional before the rod replacement I'm assuming it's angled indirectly or the sensor is at fault, will have a play later

Well the sensor seems to work OK and it is still flashing the AFS light - is anyone able to take a picture of the angle of the bracket to make sure I haven't done anything crazy? I'm particularly interested in how far round the sensor is rotated in the normal position

Thanks

James
