Removing a 2010 grille

Recommended Posts

All looked easy on youtube vids until i got to the part where you just pull the grille out.

All bolts and fasteners removed

Its solid though, dont appear its coming out until i break it.

Most vids show pre facelift cars, as anyone done it on a later car ?

Some fasteners appear different , ive added a pic of what i think the issue is.

Its like it was put in not to come out!!!!!!

Appears to be a nut/bolt and not a clip

FFS, only gone and borrowed my socket set to my dad that lives 15 miles away, 🤬

Always happens

Ah that’s a shame if you were local I’d have lent you mine! I took my IS250 2010 f sport bumper off when fitting my VLANDS and it can be a pain in the *****, socket set is all you pretty much need though

Aye pretty straight forward when you find out what is what.

Watched several videos about swapping for F sport grille, none of which mentioned nuts/bolts

Anyways, for anyone doing the same job on a facelift, pretty much the same apart from....

1) 4 nuts on the inside of the grille, one in each corner.

2)There was no screws holding the chrome grille surround to the grille, like you see in the vids, just plastic that clipped together.

Pretty straight forward, need be careful pulling from the car, dont want to break it.
