My 2007 IS220D is showing VSC error but when the garage plugged it in it came up as a Battery temp sensor error code. Anybody else experience this? Cannot go over 3000rpm without the car going into limp mode.

Hi Graeme and welcome to the LOC.

Did you get the actual code number and was Toyota Techstream diagnostic equipment used?

Low Battery voltage can cause many issues, is yours fairly new and tested OK?

The Battery temp sensor might not actually be there! There is a possibility that if you have an after market Battery ( possibly the wrong physical size) then the plastic Battery shroud that houses the temp sensor might not have been re-fitted!

As for codes….more details required as I can’t imagine a bat temp sensor alone throwing the car into any sort of limp situation!
