I have been asked by an aquaintance with a '91 LS if the CD changer magazine on my LS has ever jammed, as his is firmly stuck.

This has'nt happened to me and before we start tinkering I wondered if any member has had this problem.

[and did you fix it!!]

cheers

This post was for me(Thanks Roy)

This is a 91 model with changer in the boot. Door opened OK but cartridge was well stuck.I removed the whole changer unit (only 4 bolts and two plugs) Took off both top and side covers twisted the securing tabs for the top board, lifted this clear and then turned white plastic wheel I could see through casing slot. This wound the cartridge out OK. Just put very small amount of oil on the end of long screwdriver and oiled sliding points and mechanism and re-assembled. Now works fine. There are a few pics here if anyone is interested. Quality not too good! :D http://www.streamload.com/csturnbull/cd_changer
