So I have a Lexus IS 250c

I had a new windscreen  fitted last Saturday by Autoglass

I noticed one of the cover strips was damaged and also was stuck back down with mastic.

i contacted them. They sent a Autoglass out again with  2 new ones however the problem was all the clips are broken.

the jibe couldn’t be competed

being a Lexus is 250c this is a huge problem and half the car needs to be dismantled  to fix this issue. I’ve found a clip on YouTube .

also today I washing the car there is water trapping and going behind the scuttle cover .

please see picture/ this  is where the water is going ????

Link for windscreen clips to be replaced

what do I do ?????

im very worried

Firstly, I wouldn't wash the car until the windscreen has been fitted properly.  I once had a Jag that would sometimes come to a complete halt, and the electrics would go haywire, when it rained.  Took it to a dealer and they found that the windscreen installer had fitted the seal wrongly, with the join at the top. They found loads of water under the carpets, and had to dry out the electrics and replace the carpets.

If it's being organised by your insurance company then I'd get onto them and get them to get Autoglass to resolve it, or authorise you to take it to a Lexus dealer/specialist.

Has your dealer said they carry out windscreen replacements? Other here, me included, have been told dealerships don't do the work themselves.

They don’t do windscreens they get a 3rd party but they can do all the rest of the work as shown in the YouTube clip I uploaded
