BRAKE!

Sorry, time limitations mean that I cannot find the thread where I originally brought this up, but I can confirm that if you try to ignore the BRAKE! warning, your car will stop. I was reversing into a stupidly small space this afternoon when Betsy advised me in her usual well mannered way that I was on the verge of rearranging her pert, but perfectly formed and Kylie-like rear end. I though "just a little more" and WHAM! She put the brakes on. Hard. Lesson learned. When your car says BRAKE!, stop.

I was given an NX as a courtesy car recently and whilst reversing into my usual parking spot at work the BRAKE warning appeared and I also thought "Nah, plenty of room" when Bang! Oh crap what have I hit.... But no, the car simply applied full brakes and stopped us dead well clear of the hedge behind.

When I got out I thought I would have normally parked a tad closer in my RC but then realise the NX had a rear hatch and the car simply stopped far enough away to allow it to safely swing open. Impressive stuff

Still, was a bit shocking initially :blushing:

I have found twice that if going slow enough it doesn’t stop, luckily I am doing it on purpose to get close to my wife’s car but worth making note and checking yourself
