Gs300 Expensive To Run?

hi all

we currently have a is200se and are really pleased with it,we also have a van which we use for camping hols,but am really fancying changing it for a gs300 sport,only concern is fuel consumption are they expensive to run???

24mpg in town & 32/38 out of town, not too bad realy, trouble is that once you fill up you just want to keep on driving.............. :)

fuel is not too bad. I would say 22mpg in town and 30mpg on a run. Depreciation is the biggest problem.

A bit thirsty........but not visited the mechanic now for 6 months since ive had the car.........cost of running it so far has been one lightbulb!

If you can afford a few grand for a car, you can afford to run it. Afterall, fuel is only a 1/3 of the cost of running a car if you do about 10k a year if you include tax, insurance, depreciation etc so if you can afford to buy the car, you can afford to run it.

Iwould tend to agree with you on that one unless something really nasty happens but they dont happen that often and only if your really unlucky.. you will have your normal wear an tear to consider like tyres.. there has been a few threads on this as to which is the best .. what wears well and wheel alignment a few people have had problems but i think that was more on the older models..
