Guys,

I have just acquired an SE Mk2 GS300. I think its a very lovely Car. Has got everything (almost). However, I only have one key for it and it is not even the master Key. I don't have the keys for the locks either. I have seen some keys peddled on eBay (US). Would these work in the UK re: programming ? Does anyone have the instructions for programming? OR Is there any other way of geting the master and a spare on the cheap ?

Every little piece of info helps a great deal..

and Thanks :)

You don't say what age your car is. If it's a pre-facelift model (pre 2001) then the control system also has to be replaced as you cannot program another key without a master.

I've tried a key from the US. Couldn't get the remote locking to program (may use different frequency) and I cannot find the procedure for programming the immobiliser as it's different from the US procedure.

Sorry about the omission. Its a 2001 UK Car.

If the US route is a no-show option, is there any other cheaper and viable alternative? Lexus Bracknell is currently quoting me around £210 for the Master and £1100 for the set.

If you have a 2001 car then you shouldn'd need the set. They should be able to program your car for a new master key on its own.

I don't think there is any other way because Lexus will need to program the car using their diagnostic equipment.
