No Remote Key With Sale Of Car

End of second day of ownership of my AS200 now passed and a few more miles under the belt.

I upset the girlf when I stated more girlies were turning their heads at this car than the beemer, (but I managed to laugh it off). But seriously I am getting more attention in this Altezza.

One concern I raised at time of purchase is the one standard key (toyota badged) that was handed over, and I have to centrally lock from the drivers door key slot.

I miss the remote that was with the test drive IS200 sport from Lexas Edgware Road.

Of course, the indicators do not flash. It raises two questions (again!)

1. Is there an alarm on the AS200 and how can it be set from the standard key, as the indicators are not flashing to confirm alarm/deadlocking set, etc.

2. Can I source another remote key at a good price?

3. Can i get a later spec radio from Lexus direct to replace my restricted waveband jap radio, with the six cd slot in the "older" position at the base of the radio, comapred to the latesty model with the 6 cd slot at the top?

Altezzas dont come with alarms,

So I would recommend getting a CAT1 alarm that will come with 2 fobs and you can arm and remotely lock the car in one go, just like the IS you test drove.

Why not get the power folding mirrors to auto-fold when locking too ;)
