Modding?

Here we go, Dad bough GS300SE, I like it very much. Won lotto, not much but enough. Wana get a GS430SE. However want to make it a little special. Do lexus have a modding department like mitsubish have rallisport and nissan have nismo?

Also who do the best mods? Us Brits or the Americans? Want to atleast double HP to about 550. Price not an option.

Toyota have TRD and TTE.

Most mod parts for the 430 are in the US as that is the biggest market.

If you like the shape of the GS and you want to mod, then get an Toyota Aristo Twin Turbo. This engine is considered as the best engine that Toyota is offering and can be easily mod.

You can also get access to loads of avail aftermarket parts from Japan.

Parts from the US can be a right pain getting here.... Ordered some parts in October and they only turned up last month!!

Thanks for that Guys! Right so TRD happily will mod my LEX? And this Aristo, is is a lexus inside and out wit a toyota badge or is it different? Dont really wanto sacrafice anything about what makes a lexus a lexus. Just want to go faster quicker, with style too.

Lexus don't make a Lexus, Toyota do.

TRD won't mod your car. They make uprated bits for somebody else to mod.

Not yet, not until the middle of 2005. Then Lexus will exist in Japan - even so it just means different design thoughts will be used on 'Lexus' models to 'Toyota' ones. It won't be a separate company.

If it is then Lexus will be in trouble. Going from a company with the biggest R&D budget in the world to a very small operation.

SRT in the US makes a nice twin turbo kit for the GS 8 cilinder engines.

Those will put down between 400 and crazy horspower at the rear wheels.

Toms make some nice clean spoilers and good chassis mods (good upgrade when shooting for 550 hp).

Tein has some nice coil over suspension setups. they have an EDFC module that you can use to alter the damping.

You will need bigger brakes, AP has a big disk 6 pot conversion.

Bigger brakes need larger wheels, 20's look nice. Get some custom made ones like HRE.

I think they also did 2 or 3 430's allready.
