The selling of this says it will fit a lexus??:

KKK K26 turbocharger, intercooler, downpipe, and necessary oil/water lines. This turbo is in excellent shape with absolutely no shaft play. The fins are in excellent shape aswell. The housing features a water-cooled center cartridge for increased bearing life..

I am tempted to consider fitting the SC to my IS200. Few questions -

- Could I test drive a car fitted with the SC to get a feel for the performance?

- What impact does it have on the warranty?

- Fuel consumption?

- what other parts need to be changed ie tyres, brakes, suspension, exhaust.

Dave - i'll take you up on your offer. What do all these upgrades cost. What is the impact on insurance?

s/c from tdi is about 4k + VAT all in

eibachs 150 + fitting

exhaust depends on what you fit but about 350 (1/2 hr to fit)

tte anti roll bars think 300 squid 1 hr to fit

all aside from the s/c are corner garage jobs

several peeps have done a DIY on the s/c though

insurance depends on age..........DIG did me for 600 fully comp but i'm ancient !

I'm about saturday morning after 10 as Mrs E is bashing le plastic :whistling:

you dont HAVE to change anything - the only recommendation thru peoples past experience is to have the pre cats removed from the manifold because if you run it to the red line unburnt fuel can destroy the cats.. but this can also happen on a standard car.

eibachs, roll bars etc are for extra/improved handling - not essential if u have a supercharger.
