Acquired my 2003 IS200SE auto (wife will only drive an auto) 4 weeks ago having been told to get rid of my beloved MX5 and to get something sensible. Very pleased with the car so far.

Forum is very good and have picked up many useful hints. Stone chips on bonnet have not been touched up well although car was acquired from Lexus garage.

I note from the handbook that D3/2/1 are used for engine braking but I have been using D3 for overtaking rather than kickdown. Is this normal practice in an auto as I realise it is not really a sequential box?

I have done over 1000 miles so far and its really comfortable on a long run.

Regards to all.
