man than sucks... still at least your windscreen is fixed and I'm sure the car doesn't look half as bad as when you first saw it after the little **** broke the glass.. If you need it, I know a good bloke in Maidstone who will repaint that piller and have it looking as good as new in an afternoon. PM me if you want his number..

^_^ :)

That's a real downer Marcus, but I know how you feel. Couple of the "young team" jumped on my roof at new year and I had to have a complete new roof skin fitted. Ten days it took.

After some discreet detective work on my part, I stretched a pool cue across one guys coupon and spent a night in the nick for my trouble. Perp # 2 according to his mother is no longer living at home...how convenient, but I can wait. Some scum just can't help themselves.

Sorry to see that - Not a pretty sight :(

Could the paint damage not be done as part of the screen claim ?

With my insurance it's 'screen + associated paint damage'.

Just had new screen + 2 pillars and scuff in roof done on this basis.

This is a really ****ty thing to happen to anyone. Unfortunately its a sign of the times, and unfortunately also, that most of the time its kids thats had a drink whilst sat in the park with their mates and do it to show off to girls. Mind you, Im **** scared of mine going through. Our business competitor is a nob, and when we first got started he threatened to have our throats cut, burn our houses down, rape our women and nick our kids, we reported it to the police and he got cautioned, but its only a mtter of time before he learns ive got a lexus and he will definately put a window through one night.

I think in this day and age, us decent law abiding folk should stick together. I used to have a security firm which was staffed by purely ex sqaddies who got stuck in and asked questions later, the police didnt like the fact that we dressed in black with berets and had "devices" to inflict "minimum" pain. They let it go, but when they saw we were doing a better job then them, they put a stop on things.

I STRONGLY believe in the public doing WHATEVER they like to stop people who do this sort of thing. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Insurance companies dont care, they are a profit making organisation who do everything within their power to not pay out, the police are only interested in high profile crime that scores them PR points and alot of joe public just turn a blind eye cos they have their own bag to deal with. It winds me up when people work hard for what they have and live an honest life, only to be burdened with stress, pain and anguish caused by peasants who know nothing more.

Im really sorry to see the damage mate, its extra money to just throw away. If you are struggling to pay for a new screen I will willingly make a donation to assist. This sort of thing really, really does me in, no matter who it happens to.

Chin up,

Sorry to hear about your car Marcus, w@#@ers!

Good statement Pete, I agree with everything you said. I have had my garage broken into twice, windscreen scratched and all I get from the police is a crime reference number, no call, no investigation! The police portion of my council tax has gone up 14% this year, no doubt for more speed cameras!
