My Is200 Just Saved My Life! 40ton Truck Squashed

Recommended Posts

That's gotta be a scary sight seeing that thing come down towards you and not stop! Important thing is you and THE TRUCK DRIVER are ok! (Everybody seems to forget about that poor guy ;)) Atleast now we know it really is a safe car :D

:o :o :o

Just seen the photos - you'll find it wasn't the Lexus design that kept you safe, it was the LOC sticker on the front screen ;)

Really chuffed you and the lorry driver are ok though, it does look very nasty...

****ing hell.

Did any airbags go off ? I presume not by the interior shot, however as it was an impact from "above" I guess that's why the didn't activate.

:blink::blink:

Shocking though mate, really shocking. You never know how lucky you are at times when you're driving up and down the road.

Blimey!

That bonnet is so flat even the Lump has completely disappeared (Does the engine still work? )

It’s a good thing the front screen didn’t fall to bits otherwise you would have been covered it cuts.

Glad to hear your ok and the lorry driver. :)

you've had a lot of chance not to be in it

????

Sorry don't understand, I was in that !

The engine dosen't run as no electrics.....

change of underwear, not required :winky: old day job was more scary (Ex Bomb Squad !) and yes it was all in slow motion, yesterday I spent the whole day high as a kite today I ache !, boss sent me home at 10:00 this morning via the doc's!

Bonnet was V-flat it had just had a 44ton iron on it ! the front screen turned to a powder and I've been itching like I've been rolling in loft insulation?

Steve

  • 2 weeks later...

only just read post/seen pics, you were very, very lucky you both walked away from that. makes my blood run cold if i ever see anything like that up close & personal by the side of the road...

we sold our old IS200 to a friend last year (at a 'stupid' bargin price for some reason!!) - he'd only had it a week & a very similar incident happened with a lorry. IS squashed & complete w/off but fortunately, he was OK.

after i'd checked he was ok, i hate to admit that i was pretty upset that my 'old' baby was no more...i got so attached to my 1st lex!

he got a replacement via insurance, but they did mention he'd got the original lex at a fantastic price...doh! i need sales lessons!!

seriously though - glad you were ok.
