Hi to all

I can hear the aerial motor winding away but does not move the mast up or down. After speaking to lexus parts they say they sell the mast or the whole unit. So is there any way of knowing if i only need the mast and how to take the old one out :duh:

Many thanks

Mast is easy!

Unscrew the top of the fixed part of the aerial (where it goes into the wing) and you should be able to take the mast out when you switch the radio on to push the mast out theoretically.

If the bit that engages with the cog inside the aerial motor is broken (a long plastic strip with teeth on) then I'm not sure how to get the broken bit out, but I've just replaced my mast for 20 odd squid.

To get the whole thing out you need to get the trim in the boot nearside wall off then investigate further - something I havent had to do!
