Clear Rear Fogs & Mot

First year mine failed with a set of bought bulbs cause the bulbs were not red at the very bottom and allowed a little white light out. Dealer swapped the std ones back on for free (which were in the boot) to pass it.

I now use clear bulbs which I've painted myself and they give a good red colour but I swapped the std ones back on just to be sure this year.

The lights don't have a CE mark so think you might be on dodgy ground though if they give out a good red light I guess the testing station would have to be pretty picky to fail it.

is working, and

b. incomplete, not in good working order or not visible from a reasonable distance

does not flicker when tapped lightly by hand. d. flickers when tapped lightly by hand check also that the driver's tell-tale works properly e. tell-tale does not work

f. adversely affected by the operation of any other lamp.

only need on fog light by law,, and even then doesnt have to be a single purpose light, so combined will pass..

think the concern is having a clear lens,, but as long as you have a red enough light source then it shouldnt be a problem.

Unless of course the only colours of lenses allowed are Red, orange and clear, and by clear this is meant for the reversing lights..
