UX25oh Touchscreen

Recommended Posts

I've ordered a used (2023) UX250h and was suprised and disappointed to see that the main screen cannot be split, i.e. it is one big screen whereas most other cars allow split screens with, say, map in one half and audio info, etc. alongside. Is this really the case?

Also, when starting the car it was necessary for me to press THREE times on the screen to accept the safety message. In my old IS300 I had to press it once (which was annoying enough), but now THREE seperate inputs? This is totally ridiculous so does anyone know if there is a way to dosable this requirment, or at least short cut it to one touch?

Thanks

Dunno about the split screen as I've never bothered to try. The initial start up "Continue" screen should disappear on its own after a few seconds with no need to click/accept it. At least that's what it should do.

I get a 'splittable' screen on my UX's display....navigation in one half and all sorts in the other half (inc. the aircon/driver comfort situation, which is my current favourite).  I'd be surprised if indeed the main screen display on your UX cannot be split😉

For me the split screen you are referring to sounds like Android auto. I have not tried to make this happen in the "Lexux" screen.  For the screen initiation, Mine does not ask for this after I registered myself as the primary driver (registers my key so it recognizes when I enter the car) and linked my LINK+ account, etc.. Try this and see how it goes.

I've had a 2020 UX with the old style display and that allowed what you describe as screen splits with three types of info. I replaced that with an early MY23 UX with the updated Multi-media screen and experienced the same frustration as you have. Speaking to Lexus they could only suggest I use Android Auto which allows my to show two displays, typically the navigation map and the radio stations. It seems this move forward in display technology was at the cost of restricting the amount of visible options in the Lexus environment.
