Tutorial added - seat air filters

Recommended Posts

I've added a tutorial in the relevant area about replacing LS460 seat air filters, front and rear.

If you have never done this in your 460/600, give it a look. Don't do it while you're eating, I'll say. 😐

Why on earth would anyone need a seat air filter?  OMG I have just realised! I bet they sell a lot in India.

Tandoori King Prawn Jalfrezi Balti anyone?

Unfortunately it is not to deal with that, more to prevent dirt and dust getting into the seat air blower/heater/cooler before it blows at your derriere.
As for such odours, rather than spicy foods, I find that cabbage, spinach, and eggs are the best for producing the most powerful stinks, unless you eat lots of Saag or Saag Aloo 🤣

Brilliant. Never done mine. How much were the new filers?

IIRC about £10 each for the front and £5 for the rears. It was one of those "round to it" jobs so I actually bought them 2 years ago when I got the car 🤣

As BB surmised, it's just to protect the blower (ooerr) and to stop the perforated leather getting bunged up. As my rank photos show, it is a necessary filter!
