Doh! It/pc Help Pls Guys...

darn n blast it - i've got a simple digital camera that i've used on this pc before but for some reason, it wasn't recognising it when i plugged it in this morning...i've done all the usual checking the connections, plugging & un-plugging etc.

in my infinite wisdom, , i re-installed the driver software disc thingy from when i had it & re-booted. still no good.

went into add/remove programs - chose the one that i thought was my camera & uninstalled it. tried installing the disc/software again, but only now it says "driver does not exist..."

what on earth have i done???? women n pc's eh? shouldn't be allowed... :tsktsk:

can anyone point me in the right direction to get sorted? as you'll have guessed, i'm not exactly IT literate... give me a Lex anyday!!

Would this be USB by anychance ???

If so, remove the USB cable from PC, restart PC and plug USB back in in a different USB slot, this reinitialise the USB address for the Onboard HUB, this should start your camera working again.

yay! success!!!! did what you suggested then re-installed my driver (i fink...) now working all OK - i can finish what i'm doing & get out n enjoy the sunshine now.
