I've Broken Sommat On My Car..wont Be Cheap!

Recommended Posts

Have to get it drilled out.

This would be so if the thread end was stuck in the wheel hub,

but....

The actual threading is part of the wheel hub itself that the bolt screws onto, NO?

Makes me think my escort and B*W with the bolt and thread together going into a hole in the Hub was better..

this has happened a lot - u need a torque wrench!

the studs are under £5- u need to remove the caliper and disk and then hammer out the remains of the old stud, then hammer another one back in.

Hey...........

I can do this.

Cool.

So once the disk is off, you can get to "hammering out" the old threading/stud.

yes BUT i would get a mate to put a large heavy object on the back face of the hub flange - this will make the stud come out quicker and also reduce the risk of any flexing/bending in the flange.

britool, facom, stawhille, hazet, etc but those are pretty serious £££ for wheels etc where it does not need to be a calibrated to > 1% deviation etc get urself a draper one cheaper and just as good.
