Air/fuel Ratio Sensor

Recommended Posts

Need help guys.

Just installed a customised greddy pods (a-pillar) to hold my air/fuel ratio gauge.

Brought it to a local workshop and they were clueless on how to install it on an IS. They said there are 2 sensors, somewhere on the mid of the exhaust manifold and they were hesitant as it might blow up the sensor...

Anyone done this before? Where exactly should the signal lead wires go?? If it's the ECU, which pin/plug?

Notice it should be situated in before the catalytic converter.

I think you meant the O2 sensor which you wanted to fit.

As far as I know 36inch from engine in the downpiping. ;)

As far as I know it doesn't play a roll how far away from the engine, at all not too close to the engine, because it could overheat and get damaged, but most important is BEFORE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER!! ;)

Weld the screw into the downpiping and then drill the lambda sensor in this screw.

Put the wire to the other stock O2 sensor wires. B)

Question for being sure: Did you get a lambda sensor or only a gauge or only a wire for it??

I'm not sure if I got it what you meant.... :o

Tell me exactly what you're going to do, to prevent problems or anything. :)

The gauge uses the stock sensors for O2 signals.

So basically I just a have wires which needs to be connected to the O2 sensor.

I dont have separate lambda sensors that needs to be welded in. ;)

What do you suggest?
