Extended Warranty

Hi all, my first post so please be gentle...!

Just bought an 01 SE and the lexus warranty has just finished. Has anyone got any experience of extended warranty companies?

I've had a look at warranties direct and the cover seem ok but has anyone got cover with them and had to use it?

I had cover from warranty holdings before would wouldn't touch then with a bargepole after a blown engine incident on an imported alfa.
