Recommended Posts

Hi all!!!

Im the newbie and im hoping to pick my self up a nice black '51 IS200 SE on saturday, and first port of call is to get s supercharger fitted.

Im hoping to get 250bhp from a TDI fitted kit. Does this sound realistic?

Also what websites/companies do you guys reccomend for bodykits and styling?

Thanks in Advance.

the TTE s/c kit that TDi fit will yieled approx 50gbhp, putting the total to approx 200bhp.. if your lookiing for 250 gbp, then i assume your going to have the stage 1 upgrade. largere intercooler and pulley..

You'd probably need to look at the charger plus the TDI upgrades to get that sort of power, other alternative would be to get the charger plus Nos and use the extra power when you need it.

Good luck anyway mate

There are some good options out there for the 3S-GE engine in the RS200 Altezza.

Blitz do a bolt on supercharger kit that gives 270PS power at 7450rpm and 302NM torque at 4500rpm. The PS figure is roughly equivilent to horsepower. This is running at 0.4/5 bar or 7/8psi. There is also an optional intercooler

kit that would allow you to run slightly more boost. The quoted figures are at relatively low boost pressure levels. Low boost pressure levels ensure the safe running of the motor using the original bottom end. If you were to strengthen the pistons and conrods you could run a lot more boost, perhaps up to 1 bar and see power of maybe 320/330PS or more. It is only available for the 6pd manaul altezza. Fitting this kit is relatively easy as it is all bolt on parts.

Blitz also do a turbo kit based on a K3450 turbo. It will give 260-280PS running 0.4bar. The kit comes with an intercooler. Fitting is a bit more involved as the head has to come off to fit a spacer and new head gasket. If you were to strengthen the engine with forged internals the turbo will support up to 450PS (as its' name indicates!)

Obviously with the compressor you get less boost lag but you are more limited in the long run for expansion that you are with the turbo.
