HI, I HAVE A '99 IS 200, MY STEREO'S PACKED UP DUE TO A BLOWN AMP, WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP ON HOW TO REMOVE IT, CHECK IT AND GET A NEW ONE (WITH OUT HAVING TO PAY LEXUS PRICES...£400 PLUS FITTING).

IS THERE A WAY I COULD FIT AN ALTERNATIVE CHEAPER AMP ETC....

As far as I am aware, there isnt RCA outputs on the amp, so I doubt you will find an alternative replacement, you might find one on e-bay possibly on here but that would be pot luck.

I would say your best bet would be to spend your hard-earned on a new stereo & adapter face plate, this way you could add to & customize your sound system to how you like.

There are a few members on here with SEs or Sports that have aftermarket ICE and probably left the original amp in its place.. Imi and Dpk are the ones I can think of from the top of my head ;)
