Front Discs

My IS200SE now has 102000 on the clock and the time has come to stop paying Lexus rates for labour and spares.

Lexus Bracknell want £380 to replace front discs!

Where can I get the best price for Lexus spares or must I go through Lexus?

Can I go through Toyota?

Am I safe getting guys like Kwik-Fit to do the work?

Could I do it myself?

Do I need to change the pads at the same time - currently 50% worn?

Will continued driving with the warped discs and the resultant vibration damage anything else?

Any help or advice welcome. Car spends it's time in the Thames Valley & Wiltshire so wouldn't want to drive too far afield to get this fixed.

There are a few aftermarket options available to you :whistling:

DBA gold drilled & slotted discs that I've got on offer :winky:

Mintex do some as well............trying to get a price on them

Scott (altezzascott) can source Brembos

PeteJenkin can get EBC pads at a good price as well.............

I'd say any garage will be able to fit them as its a straightforward job.

If you get the bits (got a discount with being GOLD member on my pads), then any garage will fit them for you.

If you're around Bracknell I've heard these chaps are good:

Bracknell MOT Centre

Scott Farm House

North View Amen Corner

Binfield

Bracknell

RG42 8TD

T) 01344 301402

My friend takes his Merc there and it's a minute down the road from Lexus Bracknell.

Come along to JAE and I'm sure someone will fit them for you for a few beers :)

This has to be the best option... only takes half an hour...

Could make a challenge out of it.... see Just how fast these can be changed..

Nah seriously.. easy enough job to do on your own mate..
