Mobile Phone Car Kit

This might have been done before, and you might think's it's naff but here we go:-

I've been having loads of problems with the speaker in my car kit, basically when on a motorway I can't hear the person speaking. The car kit is a siemens btw.

While I was cleaning my aircon filter I noticed the cabling for the speaker, disconnected it from the siemens controller box and doubled up the wiring with one of those old cassette tapes that plays music cd's from the ear jack..

Anyway, it works, I can leave the cassette tape in as I never use it (who needs it with 6 cd's?!) and I still have the siemens speaker wired in so I can hear the phone ringing, press the tape button and I can control the volume for the call.

I think it's a brilliant idea as you don't need to mess about with the internal wiring.

there was a post a while ago on .net about a "stealth" install of one of the cd tape adaptors - looked good too.
