Rwd Track Day?

Hi was driving back from the cash and carry at North Weald (Essex near harlow and M11 ) and gooing past the airfield there and noticed a "little" smoke coming from a big bit of unused tarmac so pulled over too take a look .........

Must of been a RWD cars day out a few Nissan 200's and 300's some turbo of these as well not sure as not that big upon nissans a capri 2.8 and a very very quick RWD escort 87 or 88 i think.

They had set out a traffic cone course and were basically going for it they attracted a nice crowd of passers by with there drifts and donuts so i stopped for half an hour ...........some good and some VERY bad driving going on there.

Was a few other cars there as well a MK2 escort which i didnt see going.

I wonder if the airfield lets the site out for track type days could be worth a look.

The main runway is still in use so cant use that but it has a decent siaed bit of land which is tarmaced still too use.

Wonder if anyone from here was there???
