Who Has Medion Gps

hi all remember that a few of u bought the medion GPS package a while ago, how many have put tomtom software on it??

if so can u go to the tomtom GPS program -> GPS and tell me which satellite reciever is selected and on which port.

mine went a bit funny and had to reset it so lost the settings for the gps :crybaby:

have you gone through the set up wizard again.

that should set it up for you

yes done that, all it says is if its not a tomtom gps module select it from the list, and i cant rememebr which one it had selected before.

Rob, not sure of what COM port it will be on but 99% of them work as NMEA xxxx 38400 bps

Might be worth trying that and just adjusting the COM port - is it Bluetooth or a cabled jobby - most of those come in as COM1.

Migh be worth a go while you're waiting?

thank for thew advice mate, i ll have a go on my way to work tomo afternoon and let u know what happens - yes its a cable so have it on COM1.

i have been meaning to post back on this for ages - but the tomtom is working fine now, after trying to select all of the gps modules, guess which one worked? yes the tomtom own brand module! very strange to say the least.
