Sat Nav

Recommended Posts

i wanted to get a Sat Nav System. I have a Handspring Treo 600 and a Compaq 3630 and I was wondering if any of you guys have used software that works on these PDA's.

Alternatively what else should I get?

I can vouch for TomTom Navigator. I've just bought it for my Palm T3 and it works a treat.

yes you can use your Ipaq but the memory space is too small for GPS maps so you;ll need a Compact Flash adapter Jacket for the ipaq a 128 (very minimum) memory card for map data and a GPS receiver thats compatible with the software of your choice.

I got the Navman GPS sleeve because it has the CF slot and GPS and a method to hold the whole lot onto my windscreen in one package.

you should be able to pick up what you need on ebay quite cheap now.

also I have a newer faster 400mhz Ipaq with windows mobile 2003 and its no faster than my old Ipaq with GPS software, so your Ipaq will do just fine. :)
