Rx300 Mk2

My 1 month old RX300 mk2 was gleaming on my driveway waiting to go cruising, when much to my horror i took the spare key and the car failed to start!! I tried several times and finally it started. So later i tried again and the same thing happened. I worked out that the main key and the 3rd service key were both working, but for some reason the spare was failing. I took this to my local LEX dealer (Jemca-Bromley) who tried to re-initialise the key, but failed on several attempts. So the dealer decided to have the car for a whole day and work on this problem. I am taking the car in soon and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or anything similar!!

Was the key on a kering?

No the key was not on a keyring!!

sounds like a faulty key then if the others work fine. Hopefully it will all be sorted out quickly under warranty.
